Our first oar trip of the summer currently features a 6-day trip of the Upper Grand, from Lees Ferry to the Bright Angel Boat Beach near Phantom Ranch. 
It begins in Flagstaff, Arizona, and launches at Lees Ferry on June 20, 2012. Spend 6 days and 5 nights floating and exploring the upper 87 miles 
Sandra - Nevills cataract boat in Grand Canyon - Greg Reiffof Grand Canyon, seeing famous sights such as Marble Canyon, Vasey's Paradise, Redwall Cavern, and running many beautiful rapids, including Hance Rapid, considered the third biggest in Grand Canyon.

And, unlike any other Grand Canyon river running company, you will have a chance to ride on the historic wooden Nevills cataract boat the Sandra.

You will descend through all of the rock layers of Grand Canyon, into the Inner Gorge and Granite Gorge, stopping for leisurely side hikes along the way to places that are easily accessed only from the river.

All camping gear is provided, along with a delicious menu of meals prepared by the river guides.

By the time you finish the hike you will have climbed back up through all the rock layers that you saw unfold as you traveled down the river.
The trip ends at Grand Canyon Village on the South Rim. It does not include return transportation to Flagstaff, because many people have a room reserved for them at one of the South Rim lodges for that night.
